What went wrong? Almost everything, but the kitchen sink! First of all, the Suns lack of determination to close out the Spurs in the 4th quarter
. Secondly, STAT and Shaquaro got into foul trouble as usual. In summary, The Suns blew it even though they are still the better and more talented team.
Highlights/lowlights:
- STAT and Shaquaro did not neutralize Mt. Duncan
- Former Suns player, Kurt Thomas, flopped and defended the Suns interior quite well
- Suns bigs didn't rebound well enough. It's pretty bad when your 6'3" shooting guard, barbosa, was the leading rebounder.
- Is anyone guarding Ginobili?
- STAT needs to trust his 5-17 foot jumpers vs. his desire to charge to the basket. He should also work on shooting 1-2 3's per game
- Bowen surprisingly played clean. No one nuts were injured in this game!
- Why was Diaw given the last shot? When did he become mister clutch? Should've given it to STAT or Nash!!!
- Parker fouled out. Oh Wee!
- STAT fouled out. Why didn't he just take that 5 foot jumper?
- Shaquaro got into foul trouble early.
- Nash made some bad turnovers in the 4th quarter
- Grant Hill was a no show
- Suns once again blew a huge lead (16 points!)
- Duncan's first 3 pointer of the season...remember John Paxson...anyone?
